About this Painting
This is a special original oil painting that I created en plein air on the beautiful Scottish coast, right at Stonehaven Harbour.
This piece holds a unique place in my journey. I painted it the day after I had the truly memorable experience of attending a major televised art competition as a wildcard artist. Creating this work was a moment of reflection and a return to the pure, quiet joy of simply painting the landscape.
The scene captures the picturesque harbour with its charming boats and the peaceful stillness of the water. I used a sensitive, impressionistic style to convey the fresh coastal air and the quiet beauty of that moment.
