Description
Painted en plein air I painted this on a bright morning at a campsite in Ullswater, standing beneath the shade of a tree as the sun warmed the fields. From the gate, the tractor’s tracks curved gently toward the farm, guiding my eye through the soft greens of the pasture where sheep grazed in the distance. The hills rose beyond, brushed with streaks of orange bracken glowing in the light. I wanted to capture that quiet sense of life unfolding — the stillness, the warmth, and the beauty of a working landscape at the start of the day.
