Frost Over the Pastures

With this piece, I aimed to capture the profound and beautiful stillness of a winter morning in the countryside. It’s a moment of frozen silence that I found deeply moving. I focused my attention on the frost-covered meadow, where the delicate white texture of the ice creates a stunning contrast with the deeper, earthen colours of the pasture beneath. The rising sun is appearing on the horizon. Its warm, golden light is entirely present, washing across the frost and transforming the raw winter landscape into pure, atmospheric light. I painted the tall, silhouetted trees to frame this dramatic moment on the horizon.
