Description
I painted this oil piece on location at the Leazes, looking out toward Marsden on a clear, blustery day. Standing above the coastline, I was drawn to the shifting light over the sea and the sweep of land that meets it. The view carried a sense of space and movement — clouds drifting, waves catching the light, and the colours of the cliffs deepening in the wind. I wanted to capture that feeling of looking outward — the openness of the horizon and the quiet energy of the North East coast.
