About this Painting
I was attracted to the strong evening sunlight casting its glow onto the bridge and buildings in the distance, which were flaming orange, so I decided to capture the setting in this oil painting. The Side, in Newcastle upon Tyne, is located directly underneath the grand rail bridge and leads down towards the quayside.
